Today we had a visit from instrument teachers from North Yorkshire County Music Service. It was fantastic to have live music in school and they played some very familiar tunes to engage us. We all got a singing lesson too! The teachers demonstrated how to play their instruments and answered lots of questions about how they became interested in learning to play and what other jobs you can do in the music industry. One of our pupils also got the chance to impress and perform a piano solo in front of us all!
Children in Key Stage 2 all took home a letter about opportunities to learn to play these instruments and we can’t wait for children to begin learning to play them in school.
